Electrical work done
right the first time.
Panel and service upgrades, smart panels, standby generators, battery backup and EV chargers, installed by a licensed C-10 electrical contractor. Book any of them on its own. You do not need a hardening project to work with us.
Power loss in Shasta County is not just an inconvenience. Shutoffs, winter storms and aging equipment affect refrigeration, wells and pumps, medical equipment, communication and basic safety. Old or undersized panels limit what you can add to a home and can become an insurance problem on their own.
We plan electrical work around what the property actually needs: the loads you care about, the capacity you have, where equipment can go, and how the utility, permit and inspection will work. Then we install it cleanly, document it, and walk you through how it operates.

Panel & Service Upgrades
Your panel decides what your home can safely run. We replace outdated and hazardous panels, increase service capacity, and install smart panels that let you monitor and manage loads.
- Panel replacement and hazard panel replacement
- Service upgrades (for example 100A to 200A)
- Smart panels and load management
- Subpanels for shops, ADUs and additions
Standby Generators
A standby generator starts on its own when the grid goes down and keeps running as long as it has fuel. For long shutoffs, wells and rural properties, it is often the right answer.
- Load assessment and generator sizing
- Generac standby generator supply and installation
- Automatic transfer switch, essential-load or whole-home
- Equipment pad, trenching and conduit
Battery Backup
A home battery takes over automatically and silently when the power goes out. We are certified installers for both Tesla Powerwall and FranklinWH, so we can recommend the system that fits your home.
- Backup goals and load assessment
- Tesla Powerwall or FranklinWH system design
- Essential-load or whole-home backup configuration
- Integration with existing solar where compatible
EV Chargers
A Level 2 charger turns overnight into a full battery. We install it with the right circuit, in the right place, without overloading your panel.
- Load calculation and panel capacity check
- Dedicated 240V circuit sized for the charger
- Indoor or outdoor charger mounting
- Load management options when capacity is tight
Book any service on its own, or let one licensed team coordinate the house, the power and the property.
Common questions
Do I need to be doing fire hardening to hire you for electrical?
No. Electrical is a full service on its own. Many of our electrical customers only need a panel upgrade, a generator, a battery system or an EV charger.
Are you licensed for electrical work?
Yes. Margrave Construction holds a California C-10 Electrical Contractor license along with a B General Building license, CSLB #1146754.
Do you handle permits and the utility?
